<<What Eva did not know, was the enormous litigation, her family and friends were fighting to prove her innocence in her case. When the judge who convicted her, was found to be bribed, the public demanded to revise her case again.

By the time she broke out of the institute she did not know that.
She was acquitted of a charge and got paid a compensation for personal suffering quite a lot. Even her charges were dropped from assaulting that guardsman, after she apologized to him.

Life could be normal for her again if they would know how to remove that symbiotic bacteria which infested her skin. Authorities promised to keep on researching for a safe removal, but that was only slight consolation for Evangeline who thought she would be free of the suit now. At least they could remove her restraining collar and that ridiculous boots, which prevented her from standing up.

It was obvious she wasn't able to live by herself in any means anymore, so she had the choice to go back to her parents place or to stay in a board and care home.
She did not want to burden her family with that task and also was too ashamed of her pity appearance. On the other hand, she also didn't want to be in a strange place, where nobody she knew was there.

When Alice told her she could stay at her place for a while, she immediately accepted.

This was a few months ago. Now its already Christmas time. They both enjoy the evening in front of the TV.>>
